Products Development

Gen4 attached automatic transmission controller
-The companyannounced the launch ofitsGen4 attached automatic transmission controller. The product supports the application of various types of automatic transmission, including AT, DCT, and DHT. It achieves ASIL D functional safety according to the ISO26262 standard. It adopts a new-generation 32-bit high-performance processor whichenablesdual-backup FOTA (firmware over-the-air) updates. The platform design supports the expansion of input and output in multiple channels and types, as well as the selection of different communication schemes. The product supports AUTOSAR software architecture. It can meet theIP6K9K levelworking environment temperature requirements at -40℃~110℃., as well as dustproof and waterproof performance.(From apress releasedated August 6, 2022)

Plant construction

-The companyannounced that it started building the second phase of the factory in Taicang. Covering an area of around 20,000 square meters, the Taicang factory's phase two is expected to be completed in mid-May of 2023. The construction involves 2 production lines for electric motors, 1 production line for electric axles, and 3 production lines for power modules. The latest generation of flat wire motors and SiC power modules will be manufactured at the factory. The Taicang factory mainly produces the company’s NEV-related products, including electric axles, power modules, and electric motors. It is designed and manufactured based on the Industry 4.0. Its first phase started operation in August 2018 and has so far produced around 250,000 electric axles, 380,000 power modules, as well as over 1 million electric motors. TE Connectivity, ABUP, Leadmove

(Leadmove). Specifically,UAESformed a strategic cooperation with TE Connectivity on intelligent power distribution. The two sides willjointly optimizethe design matching of E-fuses and wiring harnesses in intelligent power distribution, pre-researchthe application of high-speed communication and high-current connectors,acceleratethe reduction of vehicle system costs, andrealizethe application of next-generation electronic and electrical architectures. UAES andABUPformed a strategic cooperation in the field ofremote update and diagnosis. The two sides willjointly developremote update and software marketability system and capabilities for next-generation electronic and electrical architectures, establish a remote diagnosis system with component-level diagnostic capabilities, and support OEMs in applying the SOA service architecture. UAESformed a strategic cooperationwith Leadmovein the field ofartificial intelligence(AI)applications.The two sideswilljointly explorethe optimization and application of AI algorithms inthe fieldofvehicle control based onthevehicle control software and hardware platformof UAES. Neusoft Reach
-The company has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Neusoft Reach Automotive Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Neusoft Reach) in Shanghai. Leveraging domain controllers and basic automotive software, the two parties will cooperate in fields such as R&D toolchain and automated testing, as well as SOA (service-oriented architecture) middleware. Horizon Robotics-Horizon Robotics announced that it signed a strategic partnership agreement withUnited Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd.(UAES) in Shanghai. According to the agreement, the companies will cooperate deeply in such fields as AI chips, basic software architectures and Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAs) based on Horizon Robotics’ proprietary Journey chips, software algorithms and tool chains. In order to meet the demand for customization and adapt to the industrial trend of cross-domain integration, Horizon Robotics and UAES will work together to develop high-performance onboard computing platforms and solutions with high reliability and the potential for continuous iteration. The companies have already won a contract from a major automaker in China for production and supply of an onboard computing platform developed by them based on Horizon Robotics’ Journey 3 chip. New production launches

e-Axle EAU200
-The company announced that its independently developed 200KW e-axle EAU200 rolled off the production line. The product integrates the drive motor, power electronics controller, and reduction gears, resulting in a more compact product. The maximum power of the platform covers 100-200kW, the peak torque is 4,600Nm, and the system efficiency exceeds 94.5%. It can be equipped with an electric parking brake (EPB) and has three levels of safety functions, with the highest ASIL D functional safety rating. R&D Facilities

-The company has an R&D center covering an area of 80,845 square meters and 1,834 R&D personnel, mainly engaged in powertrain calibration, engine and transmission controller software/hardware development, engine management and transmission control system component development, body electronics software/hardware development, electric drive systems electronic control devices and motors.

-The technology centers in Shanghai, Chongqing, and Wuhu have advanced, world-class laboratories for testing the performance of entire cars, engines, transmissions, and electrically driven products. The centers also research components needed for engine-management systems, transmission-management systems, body electronics, and hybrid-and-electric-powered management systems. In addition, the technology centers develop systems, hardware, and software for the above mentioned products, and calibrate functions on powertrains.

Certification

ASPICE L2 Certification
-The companyannounced that its independent high-voltage DC/DC converter received ASPICE(Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capacity Determination) L2 certification. The product integrates a high/low voltage converter and a high-voltage power distribution unit (PDU). The high/low voltage converter has a rated power of 2.5kW, while the PDU can be configured to include interfaces to facilitate flexible vehicle installation.
