Overall, Done and Dusted was an average read. It was a quick, fun, and easy contemporary read, although a little surface-level.

The series — Done and Dusted, Swift and Saddled, and Lost and Lassoed – is from The Dial Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Each book follows a different pair of characters, but they all center on small-town romances.

Sex, Romance & Nudity. Most of the plot is about love and romantic feelings. Teens talk about kissing and making out. Seeing people kiss and being kissed are described briefly a few times.

The inspiration for this story, with its twists they made was top notch and has been my favorite thus far of the series. Now to the juicy parts… the spice was SPICY, and very descriptive. I can't quite put my finger on it, but comparing to other books I've read, it was more believable and not over the top. Just right.

“Swift and Saddled,” like “Done and Dusted,” is set on the fictional Rebel Blue Ranch — a property inspired by the ranches in Wyoming and Utah where she spent a lot of time growing up. The location is also infused, she said, with what she sees when she looks outside her window in Utah.

Quick read, good spice and would recommend to anyone wanting to start a cowboy romance.

Not that a 9-year-old should read it... I recommend MATURE 11-12-year-olds, and probably 13+ is okay. Overall, the writing is spectacular, the plot is original and "spicy", if that's a word I can use. The book is pretty satisfactory in the way of story developments, but it REALLY LEAVES YOU BEGGING FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!
